Iris ID, a leading global provider of iris recognition technology, has recently announced that its iCAM 7S series has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under license number R-41110639. BIS is the national standards-setting body for India. The recently mandatory BIS certification attests to the safety, quality and reliability of electronic, medical, construction and many other commercial and consumer products. The iCAM 7S series and other company products are extensively used by India’s Unique Identification Authority as part of the country’s national identity program.
