Vicon’s high-powered thermal sensor cameras provide 360° coverage of open spaces to detect, identify and track intruders. Combined with Vicon’s high-speed SN683D PTZ dome camera, the resulting product delivers situational awareness of any physical incursion that may threaten a facility or its perimeter, doing the work of multiple fixed cameras, decreasing the number of security personnel needed to monitor critical areas. The continuous 360° scanning for thermal intrusion detection monitors both inside and outside the perimeter using sophisticated analytics to determine and classify detections. It provides rapid geospatial detection of multiple targets from every direction. Instant slew-to-cue PTZ autotracking action allows multiple targets to be observed simultaneously and provides immediate confirmation and forensic coverage. When a detection occurs, the coordinates are sent to the integrated PTZ, triggering an instant response to zoom in on the incursion. Human intrusions can be detected over a wide area of 1640ft (500m) and vehicles over an area of 4921ft (1500m). Available in with 320×256 and 640×512 resolutions and a variety of lenses, there is a model to fit any installation. With the built-in TRIA functionality, the thermal sensor and PTZ outputs can be displayed in a unique combined view that clearly shows any intruder’s location and identity. The unit easily integrates into Vicon’s Valerus as well as many other VMS solutions over LAN or mobile. It can also be used as a standalone product and viewed in a browser using its IP address. TDSI announced an update to their GARDiS Web Embedded Access Control System, which now includes up to 12 Doors as standard thanks to a firmware update. Firmware version 3.9 now enables the inclusion of 12 doors (up from eight previously) without the need for a license dongle, while only one dongle is now required to take the system from 12 doors up to the control unit’s maximum of 44 doors. This new, improved configuration is applicable to all new GARDiS 1, 2 and 4 Door Web Embedded Master Controllers supplied both with and without Power Supply Units: GARDiS 1 Door Web Embedded Master Controller – 5002-6001. GARDiS 2 Door Web Embedded Master Controller – 5002-6002. GARDiS 4 Door Web Embedded Master Controller – 5002-6004. Supports need for phased migrations and mix-and-match IP and analogue approach IDIS, the leading manufacturer of trusted South Korean-made video tech, has enhanced its extensive range of video solutions with the launch of a new 8-channel DP-DE2108 HD encoder. Continuing in IDIS’s strategy of focusing on customer needs, this latest device from IDIS digitises various brands of analogue camera signals to provide excellent HD image quality, ensuring that end-users can continue to support legacy cameras, use a mix-and-match analogue and IP approach, or manage phased upgrades to full network surveillance. The DP-DE2108 allows HD analogue, SD analogue, and HD-TVI cameras to be quickly and easily integrated into a DirectIP® network solution, delivering high-performance video of up to 5MP when using an HD-TVI signal. In addition, the encoder features four audio inputs, quadruple streaming up to 30ips per channel, and supports OSC control over coaxial cabling. It enables a unified approach to managing analogue or IP cameras from either the license-free IDIS Center VMS or IDIS Solution Suite (ISS), with a modular choice of enterprise-level services. These cameras eliminate the need to deploy separate PTZ and bullet cameras in pairs. Allied Vision’s Alvium 1800 compact modular camera series is now available with Sony’s innovative InGaAs SWIR sensors. The new models of the 1800 series with USB3 Vision or CSI-2 interface can be used in a wide spectral range from 400nm to 1700nm thanks to the SenSWIR sensor technology. Alvium 1800 U/C-030 features the IMX991 sensor with VGA resolution, whereas the Alvium 1800 U/C-130 with IMX990 offers SXGA resolution.   Alvium 1800 SWIR cameras are currently the smallest industrial-grade, uncooled SWIR core modules on the market. With their compact design, low power consumption and light weight, they are the ideal solution for compact OEM systems used in embedded and machine vision applications. Sony SenSWIR sensor technology The broad spectral range enables users to capture images with high quantum efficiency in the visible as well as the SWIR spectrum with a single camera, reducing overall system costs. The innovative architecture of the InGaAs digital sensors allows pixel sizes of only 5µm and high image homogeneity due to their copper-to-copper interconnects. The small pixel size is essential especially for SWIR applications with high resolution and precision requirements, such as semiconductor inspection or quality inspection of optics for laser-based measurement systems. Alvium SWIR Core modules are available with USB3 Vision or MIPI CSI-2 interface including GenICam-compatible function control. High performance under changing operating conditions All models of the Alvium camera series can be operated at housing temperatures from -20° C to +65° C. Following the success of the popular 2MP speed dome model Z950, ACTi has added a new NDAA compliant model to the Z-series family – Z952. It is a 4 Megapixel 25x optical zoom speed dome with the built-in analytics. It is a perfect model for the critical locations such as traffic intersections, utility plants, airports, factories, stadiums and more. One of the successful mission-critical utility projects with Z952 is the power plant security system in Taiwan. The camera not only analyzes the video footage, but also the sound. The intrusion can even be detected with the help of sound analysis even when the intruder is trying to avoid being seen. The camera comes with the wide range of advanced analytics including face detection, people counting, auto tracking and intrusion detection. The analytics results can be managed with the ZNR-series NVR servers. While most of the high zoom PTZ cameras in the market require either AC power or special High PoE with over 25.5W, the model Z952 is fully operational with only 21W and can be powered by the standard IEEE802.3at injector or PoE switch. This makes the camera installation really simple and cost effective. There is no need to hire an expensive licensed electrician to do the cabling job.
