Leading Security in the Age of AI & Digital Risk
The ASIS South Asia Meet 2026, held on 2 July 2026 at JW Marriott, Aerocity, New Delhi, brought together nearly 400 leading corporate security leaders, policymakers, law enforcement professionals, risk practitioners, and technology experts for a day of insightful discussions on the evolving security landscape. Sanjay Kaushik, Managing Director, Netrika Consulting India Pvt. Ltd., and ASIS APAC Regional Board Member, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for a day focused on collaboration, innovation, and strengthening the security profession in the digital era. His address underscored the growing importance of proactive security leadership, resilience, and cross-industry partnerships in addressing today’s evolving threats.
The summit featured a distinguished lineup of speakers and thought leaders. Highlights included the ASIS International Board Brief by Col. Kanwal Kishore, SM (Retd.), a keynote address by Lt. Gen. Raj Shukla, PVSM, YSM, SM (Retd.), and a special address by Admiral R. Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), followed by expert presentations and panel discussions on emerging security challenges.
A key highlight of the summit was its series of thought-provoking panel discussions that addressed some of the most pressing issues facing the security industry. Conversations explored the balance between AI and human intelligence in security decision-making, the growing threat of deepfakes and misinformation, supply chain disruptions arising from geopolitical developments, the future of security careers in an AI-driven world, and the transformation of investigations from crime scene to data scene. A dedicated session on AI in physical security further examined how technology is reshaping operational security and organisational resilience.
