Child Safety & Security for Gated Premises

MyGate, an intelligent security solution for gated premises, has introduced a new safety feature for children safety in gated communities. The new feature provides real-time information to the parents when their children step outside the main gate of their gated premises. As working parents, the primary reason for anyone to rent or buy a house in a gated community is safety and security of their loved ones. myGate’s children safety feature helps parents give approval and be aware of the movement of their children when they step out, unaccompanied by the parents. This would also apply when a child goes out with a designated caretaker. A security guard may or may not connect to the parents every time the child steps out alone or with the support staff. Most communities do not have a EPBX systems deployed, and/ or the parents are generally unavailable at the receiving end to attend calls. The company is operational in Bengaluru with plans to expand to Hyderabad and other cities over the next 12 months. myGate is built on strong Behavioral Intelligence Augmented Authentication (BIAA) technology. Some of the product features include e-intercom (automatic visitor authentication, staff attendance, infrastructure-free vehicle management), resident identification, clubhouse access management, intelligent management reporting, alerts etc. myGate can be deployed in less than a week without any investment in hardware or any capital expenditure. The security device is provided in a pay as you go pricing model. The startup also provides and manages the training of facility staff, security guards and building association members. Intersec 2018 Boosts Demand for Latest PPE

A pair of augmented reality safety glasses and cooling apparel designed specifically for hot Middle East climes are examples of the latest Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) on display at Intersec 2018 that will ensure the safety and health of regional workers. Italian safety equipment manufacturer Univet will introduce its VisionAR Smart Glasses, which integrate Sony’s holographic waveguide technology into eye protection, allowing wearers to view real time data without looking away from what they’re doing. The 2017 Red Dot Award goggles display data on a holographic screen behind the right protective lens. The screen is clear so the wearer can see through it, while data on computers, tablets, and smartphones, can be accessed via WiFi or Bluetooth. First approved Explosives Trace Detector on new TSA air cargo screening list Smiths Detection’s IONSCAN 600 is the first explosives trace detection system to be ‘approved’ on the TSA Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL) under the latest program requirements to ensure security of cargo aboard airplanes. These latest requirements, which came into effect in 2016, require a significantly higher level of explosives detection capability and software functionality. The IONSCAN 600 is a portable desktop trace detection system that detects minute quantities of explosives, as well as narcotics such as fentanyl, within seconds. It is designed to be extremely flexible for use in dynamic screening environments and is fully operational on hot-swappable batteries to ensure continuous use. It was submitted for ACSTL TSA testing in April 2017 and will also be submitted for evaluation to be used for trace detection at US airport checkpoints in the near future.
