QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, and storage solutions innovator, recently released the QSWM2108R-2C Rackmount Layer 2 Web Managed Switches. Featuring 2.5GbE, 10GbE and practical Layer 2 management functions, the QSW-M2108R-2C enables efficient bandwidth utilization for an entry-level network management solution. With its half-width design, the QSW-M2108R-2C is an ideal storage solution for server rooms in small businesses and organizations. The QSW-M2108R-2C comes with two 10GbE SFP+/ RJ45 combo ports and eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports (ten ports in total) and is compatible with 10GbE and NBASE-T technologies to support five speeds (10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps and 100Mbps) using existing Cat 5e and 6a cables. The new FLEXIDOME multi 7000i cameras combine multi-directional overviews with actionable insights for wide-area coverage applications. Bosch introduces the new FLEXIDOME multi 7000i camera family offering IR and nonIR models that provide 12- or 20-megapixel resolution to deliver highly detailed multi-directional overviews. These overviews are combined with built-in artificial intelligence (AI) to support predictive solutions in wide-area coverage applications such as intersections, public spaces, and retail. Each image sensor, offering 3- or 5-megapixel resolution, attaches a layer of metadata to video feeds to convert video data into actionable insights. It helps customers anticipate unforeseen events and prevent them from happening. The cameras offer maximum flexibility since every image sensor can be configured independently with up to 16 video analytics rules, enabling customers to decide what to focus on per scene. Draw valuable insights from captured video footage with built-in AI The cameras’ built-in Intelligent Video Analytics and Camera Trainer, both forms of AI, use metadata to add sense and structure to captured video footage. All IR models have an integrated 360-degree infrared feature which enables image capture in pitchdark conditions over a distance of up to 30 meters (98 feet). Ease of installation The FLEXIDOME multi 7000i cameras offer four image sensors with one IP address. They only require a single Video Management System license, and can be installed with just one cable. Each of the four image sensors can be independently set up using three-axis movement along a circular track, allowing the capturing of images from practically every angle. The cameras have a built-in USB-C port that accepts a Wi-Fi dongle to enable configuration via the Project Assistant when no local network is available. This approach results in maximum convenience, less cabling, shorter installation and set-up time and, therefore reduced costs. They offer a systematic approach centered on a built-in Secure Element hardware with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) functionality, safely storing all certificates and cryptographic keys needed for authentication and encryption. The approach offers extensive user management to ensure only authorized users have access to data, supports a Public Key Infrastructure set-up, and provides software sealing to detect changes in the cameras’ configuration settings. The Secure Element also supports RSA encryption key lengths of up to 4096 bits, ensuring data safety well beyond 2030.

It is especially useful in perimeter protection and fire prevention applications. The HeatPro series cameras feature deep-learning thermal video analytics for perimeter protection, and object temperature measurement and fire detection with real-time alarms. Features like accurate human/ vehicle classification, visual and auditory alarms for perimeter protection, and speedy temperature exception alarms for fire prevention make them ideal for SMB (small and midsize business) applications. Traditionally, they can only be recognised as one ‘target,’ but intelligent algorithms mean that they can be detected separately, increasing accuracy. Thermal cameras are also able to easily locate potential threats in zero visibility conditions, where a conventional camera could not. They do this by detecting the latent radiation emissivity of an object, so not relying on visible light. This means they can operate in all-weather conditions and the darkest night. They also don’t emit light, which means their presence is not obvious, making them useful in scenarios where they need to be hidden. The HeatPro series is also designed to be efficiently and quickly installed, with a simple, three-step deployment, bringing setup time down to 30 seconds. Traditionally thermal cameras require specialist engineers to configure and double check, takes both extra time and energy. HeatPro cameras have been designed with installation time and effort in mind – they are simpler to install and so installers can spend more time correctly configuring for optimum operations, and the lowest false alarm rate possible. Temperature measurement for fire prevention The HeatPro Series is also equipped with the ability to measure temperature. This process is very useful in a scenario where overheating could lead to fires. The camera can provide non-contact temperature measurement for fast and visible detection. This means that action can be taken earlier, potentially preventing a fire from the very beginning. The camera can trigger a fire alarm faster than a smoke sensor. The temperature measurement function can also be used to help check any potential overheating issue and troubleshoot problems. The series contains a number of different models and options, with bullet and turret forms, and Bi-spectrum or single lenses. The cameras can be built into a number of solutions, for instance seamlessly working with NVRs, AX PRO alarm systems, and even Hik-Connect for real-time mobile alerts by phone.
