The Climate Resilient Observing Systems Promotion Council (CROPC) and MIGS Global Consulting Private Limited, a subsidiary of Mitkat Advisory Services, are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that marks a significant advancement in climate risk management and disaster preparedness. The MoU was officially signed recently at CROPC’s office in New Delhi, representing a landmark collaboration between these two organizations.
The newly formed alliance is designed to leverage CROPC’s state-of-the-art climate forecasting technology alongside MIGS’ extensive expertise in risk assessment and management. This strategic collaboration aims to provide advanced, city-specific climate risk solutions that enhance both organizations’ capabilities and offer clients valuable tools for managing climate-related risks more effectively.
The partnership’s key objectives include significantly enhancing MIGS’ risk assessment capabilities by integrating detailed, city-specific climate forecasts into their existing risk evaluation processes. This improvement will enable MIGS to offer more accurate and effective risk assessments to its clients. Additionally, the collaboration is set to empower Mitkat and its group companies’ clients by delivering actionable insights that will aid in making informed decisions related to infrastructure, investments, and disaster preparedness.
“On the other hand, Mitkat will focus on seamlessly integrating CROPC’s forecast modules into their existing platform, datasurfr, and ensuring secure access to relevant client data. The alliance will conduct pilot projects to validate the integrated solutions and gather client feedback to refine forecasting models and risk assessment methodologies.”

CROPC’s role in this partnership will involve developing and integrating comprehensive forecasting modules for rainfall, flood, lightning, earthquake, and landslides. These modules will be embedded into MIGS’ risk assessment models and early warning systems. CROPC will also undertake climate risk assessments for critical infrastructure and design solutions for crowd management at large events, as well as hazard-safe and climate-resilient infrastructure.
