A successful FSIE 2026 marks another milestone for Vicon, with recognition for its Video Surveillance & AI Analytics portfolio
FSIE 2026 was an important milestone for Vicon India. Held during 3-5 September 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, the exhibition brought together security professionals, consultants, system integrators, technology providers and end users from across the industry.
For Vicon, the event was made even more special with a significant recognition at the FIST Awards 2026.
Vicon was named the Winner – Product of the Year: Video Surveillance & AI Analytics, recognising the company’s continued focus on intelligent video surveillance and the evolution of AI-driven security solutions.
For us, this recognition carries particular significance because it reflects the direction behind our Roughneck Pro series – bringing intelligence directly to the edge and making advanced analytics an integral part of the camera itself.
Recognition for Intelligence at the Edge
The Roughneck Pro series represents an important step in Vicon’s product evolution. Rather than treating AI as an additional layer dependent on servers or external systems, the platform incorporates an extensive suite of 19+ AI-based analytics directly at the camera. These capabilities are designed to help cameras identify, classify and interpret events at the point where they occur. Vicon has previously described this approach as part of its move toward real-time, actionable intelligence at the edge.
This approach has practical implications for modern surveillance deployments.
