ASIS New Delhi India Chapter Hosts Dr. Kiran Bedi At Institute of Social Sciences

ASIS International’s ASIS NEW DELHI INDIA CHAPTER 207 successfully organized an event at the Institute of Social Sciences, focusing on the contributions and perspectives of women in the security industry.

The event featured Dr. Kiran Bedi, India’s first woman IPS officer and former Lt. Governor of Puducherry, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Bedi addressed attendees on the importance of professional growth in the private security sector and the necessity of gender-neutral collaboration.

A Vartalaap (dialogue) session, moderated by Rekha Gairola, included discussions with the spouses of security professionals Ankita Shree, Jeena Sorokhaibam, and Vibha Joshi. The session highlighted their perspectives on the profession and the role of family support.

The event was supported by CROPC (Inter-Governmental Scientific Organisation), with Col. Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman, CROPC, delivering an address on the role of women in disaster management.

Gifting partners included JiViSa Wellness, led by Sarika Panchhi, which provided customized wellness packages for speakers and panelists and Secret Sensation, which contributed perfume sets for attendees and sponsored gifts for speakers and panelists. DridhG Security International (DridhG) distributed Feng Shui baby Buddha tokens to all attendees, symbolizing ethical principles.

Representatives from Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) and Global Association for Corporate Services (GACS) participated in the event, contributing to discussions and networking opportunities.
