Formally National Engagement Manager for Australia, Samantha Gibbons has taken up the mantle of Marketing and Engagement Manager – APAC & IMEA, and Training Manager for Australia, Danielle Mitchell will now be responsible for the strategic direction of training across APAC and IMEA.

Speaking about the promotions, Executive Vice President of Gallagher APAC & IMEA, Craig Schutte said, “Over the course of their careers at Gallagher, both Samantha and Danielle have excelled in their areas of expertise. In addition to this, they have also brought the core Gallagher values to life in the way that they conduct themselves in developing meaningful relationships with our partners and customers outside of our company.

“We have built our success and reputation on the back of creating relationships that have stood the test of time – we are celebrating 85 years as a company this year – and we believe that the creation of these two new APAC and IMEA focused roles will help us to cement and enhance our customer-centric approach in these regions. Samantha and Danielle are the perfect members of the Gallagher team to provide the increased focus and growth that is needed.”

Samantha will continue the engagement work she’s started in Australia, with a key focus on channel partners but will expand the direction, framework, and activities identified across APAC and IMEA.

Regarding her new role Samantha said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be promoted to the role of Marketing and Engagement Manager for APAC and IMEA. This opportunity to bring new engagement strategies for such diverse and dynamic regions is truly exciting. I look forward to working closely with my team to create alignment and direction for our marketing activities, as well as enhancing our external partnerships. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, I am eager to drive the growth of our brand in APAC and IMEA and contribute to Gallagher’s ongoing success.”

In Danielle’s new role, she will be working with Gallagher teams throughout APAC and IMEA to deploy the training initiatives the company has seen success within Australia, challenging the teams to innovate together with the goals of continually improving the customer experience and providing unparalleled customer care via Gallagher’s training offerings.

On her promotion to Training Manager for the APAC and IMEA regions, Danielle said, “I’m very grateful for the support I’ve been shown since joining Gallagher in 2020 and for this new opportunity. This role will ensure a consistent approach to training across the entire APAC IMEA region and ensure all customers benefit from our multi-faceted training offering. I’m excited about the potential that aligning our training teams will have on the future direction of Gallagher’s training initiatives.”

Specific training initiatives that Danielle has worked on include – Train the Trainer – a mentorship program that trains and certifies candidates from Channel Partners with internal training structures to deliver the suite of Gallagher Access Certification courses internally; and Virtual Classroom training, making it easier for Channel Partners and end-users to have people trained by a Gallagher trainer without the need to travel to a shared environment.

The impact of these training initiatives has enabled Gallagher to extend its reach over the past three years. In the 30 months leading up to April 2020, when COVID first disrupted training, a total of 1,785 APAC and IMEA Channel Partners and end-users had accessed Gallagher Security training. That figure has risen substantially in the 30 months after April 2020, where 12,716 APAC and IMEA Channel Partners and end-users have accessed Gallagher Security training.

Working together in their previous roles, Samantha and Danielle’s work was fundamental to the success of a number of key initiatives that were launched in Australia, including; Gallagher’s Care Plan, a system that provides service and support across product, training, advisory services, and development; Gallagher Digital Badges; a program that allows people who complete Gallagher training to easily share and showcase their skills, capabilities, and achievements digitally; and the End-User Knowledge Centre, a free resource available to Gallagher end-users that contains short ‘training’ videos providing the skills and knowledge to harness the full value of Gallagher’s Command Centre.

Samantha and Danielle have worked closely together over the past three years to make the above initiatives a reality and the success they have seen in market reflects the synergy that exists between the Marketing and Engagement, and Training teams. Samantha and Danielle aim to translate this success across both the APAC and IMEA regions.
