High-Performance Box Cameras Based on ARTPEC-8 SoC with Deep Learning

Earlier this year Axis Communications announced the launch of AXIS Q1656-LE, an outdoor-ready box camera with deep learning capabilities. Now, this outdoor-ready camera and the indoor model, AXIS Q1656 are available. These cameras feature premium Q-line functionality as well as Axis Lightfinder 2.0 and a 1/1.8” sensor, for impressive performance and outstanding forensic images in low light scenes.

Based on the latest Axis system-on-chip (SoC), these cameras offer support for advanced features and powerful applications based on deep learning on the edge. Including AXIS Object Analytics, they feature highly nuanced object classification and reliable detection with fewer false positives. Additionally, with support for AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP) version 4, Axis enables innovation on Axis AI-based edge devices and strengthens its commitment towards computer-vision-based solutions.
