QNAP® Systems has recently launched the Intel® Xeon® E based TS-x83XU enterprise NAS series with ECC DDR4 memory that delivers server-class performance and dependable reliability. All models in the series feature two 10GbE SFP+ ports using Mellanox® ConnectX®-4 Lx SmartNIC controllers and support installing a PCIe graphics card for empowering video surveillance, virtual machines and AI applications. The V922B high definition (HD) vandal bullet camera is designed for security installations that need a compact vandal resistant camera that delivers outstanding imaging at 1080p. This bullet camera is a high-resolution IP camera ideal for outdoor applications where image detail and/ or wide coverage is important. This bullet camera has a span of focal lengths, from wide angle to telephoto, providing focal length flexibility in a single lens. In an industry first, Gallagher has released a Type 1A Central Supervisory System, endorsed by the Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC). Serving the high security needs of Australian Government departments and agencies, Gallagher’s Type 1A Central Supervisory System (CSS) allows sites to manage multiple intruder alarm panels (IAPs) and their associated devices under one system. Officially SCEC approved and compliant for Zones 3-5, the much anticipated Type 1A Central Supervisory System is the latest addition in Gallagher’s high security portfolio. Communication between the CSS server, workstations and IAPs occurs with strong protection measures in place including hardware redundancy and ISM compliance. “We’re really excited to bring the Gallagher Type 1A Central Supervisory System to the market” said Gallagher’s  National High Security Manager for Australia, Phil Marr, “The Australian high security market has very specific needs and Gallagher works hard to develop technology that serves those needs. Designed to analyze more camera streams per unit than traditional security appliances, the new devices come preloaded with Genetec Security Center and unified analytics modules, reducing the cost and time required to deploy video analytics in new and existing systems. Available immediately through Genetec certified distribution and channel partners, the new Streamvault analytics appliances come in two versions – Model SVA-100, a compact unit ideally suited for retail and banking customers who are looking to anonymize patron/ clients identities in service environments, and model SVA-1000E, a rackmount unit designed for customers with high camera counts looking to automate the detection of potential threats or monitor large public spaces while respecting individual privacy. To protect the privacy of people in public spaces, both models come pre-loaded with KiwiVision Privacy Protector™, a real-time video anonymization module that dynamically pixelates individuals within a camera’s field of view. Specifying a server for video analytics can quickly become a complex process. Scene activity, composition, and lighting directly impact how many streams can be analyzed by an appliance or a server. Previously, system integrators had to design servers themselves, test performance, and assume any risk associated with under-specifying a solution. Genetec Streamvault analytics appliances remove the uncertainties that come with deploying video analytics on a new or existing system, and reduce the cost-per-video stream analyzed by optimizing appliance components. The Streamvault SVA-100 and SVA-1000E are designed to handle more streams than a typical video server with an analytics add-on. In the latter scenario, the server is not streamlined for analytics processing, rather for video archiving. The new analytics appliance can be deployed alongside existing servers, ensuring surges in analytics activity do not compromise video monitoring or archiving operations. Hikvision Security Radar, however, can offer accurate detection over a wide angle of 100° and up to a distance of 60m. Fewer false alarms Hikvision Security Radar uses digital beam-forming technology and intelligent analysis algorithms to accurately detect all target movements in all weather conditions, keeping false alarms to a minimum. What’s more, IP67 rating gives peace of mind that the hardware itself is all-weather approved. Visual intruder verification through video linking Hikvision Security Radar can also link with as many as four Hikvision PTZ dome cameras at once. This configuration will not only trigger an alarm when an intruder is detected, it will also trigger video recording to help with visual verification of the intruder. Furthermore, the cameras and the radar can be installed in different locations. This Hikvision patented video linking solution is unique, and enables users to view, and accurately track and record multiple images of targets simultaneously – all while identifying their precise movements such as running, walking, crouching and crawling. Suitable for multiple applications The Hikvision Security Radar has multiple scene modes, making it suitable for a variety of applications. Shrub Mode, for instance, is best suited to areas surrounded by dense forest, as it filters out false alarms such as shaking trees or heavy rain. Open-Area Mode is ideal for large, open and sensitive locations such as ports; and the Custom Mode enables users to fine-tune settings to suit their particular needs. Flexible installation and easy connection Hikvision Security Radar is compatible with a variety of brackets such as bullet-PTZ brackets for easy installations.
