HIKVISION Deep Learning NVR

Hikvision has recently launched a radically new NVR, with the power and intelligence to effectively filter out alarms triggered by animals and inanimate objects.

The new 16-channel iDS-9632NXI-I8/16S NVR is set to be the first release in a new range of deep learning products in Hikvision’s DeepinMind series.

Imitating human beings’ thoughts and memory process, the DeepinMind series NVR incorporates advanced deep learning algorithms that replicate the process of a human brain’s neural networks to achieve astonishingly accurate and consistent video content analytics (VCA) performance.

The innovative iDS-9632NXI-I8/ 16S, with its human body detection technology, is set to establish remarkable new levels of alarm activated monitoring by effectively filtering out false alarms triggered by animals, leaves and other random objects, and by identifying and triggering human activity with an accuracy greater than 90%. The product employs a high-speed GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) to perform accelerated computing. Accordingly, its deep learning algorithm and GPU design also makes it faster and more accurate than existing NVRs that rely on conventional CPUs. Moreover, users can search recorded footage and find targets far quicker than a traditional NVR.

Other DeepinMind NVR features include up to 32-channel video input for IP cameras (up to 12 MP each), HD video output & decoding, hard drive hot-swappable, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 configurations for up to 8x8TB capacity HDDs, and dual NIC addressable.

To enable a level of intelligent learning that was previously unavailable with traditional camera edge and NVR VCA, in just one step, the iDS-9632NXI-I8/ 16S DeepinMind NVR can be installed to replace an existing recorder. The upgrade of a conventional video surveillance system will achieve greatly enhanced video surveillance performance, delivering a whole new level of efficient security.

“With traditional edge-based VCA employed in camera heads, alarm activation accuracy relies on strict requirements for a scene’s background. To date, the accuracy of their intelligent recognition and analysis in comparable scenarios can be inconsistent” says Keen Yao, VP at Hikvision International Business Centre, “With the introduction of the DeepinMind NVR, Hikvision is offering installers and end-users a whole new level of alarm activation accuracy, and with that, more efficient surveillance systems management.”
